Recognizing Technologically Facilitated Intimate Partner Violence
Technologically facilitated abuse will often occur in tandem with traditional forms of intimate partner violence. However, it is still possible that one form of abuse may arise without the other, or that it may be deceptively hidden from you. It is crucial to be aware of the warning signs that may provide an indication of potential abuse from your partner.
Your partner seemingly knows details about your private conversation and emails
Your partner has a strong sense of what you are up to at any point of the day
Your partner shows up to your location without being welcomed
Your partner is strict about what you send to other people and checks your text logs
Your partner is constantly demanding and harassing you for your status and picture proof
Your partner starts contacting your friends or family to check up on you
